all fail in under 5 years because of incompetent installers.

Brand means nothing as I've seen Trane, Lennox, Bryant etc. My advice to you all with bad experiences, find a new contractor not a new brand. The reason I can back my work for 10 years while using Goodman equipment is because I'm installing the equipment correctly. I've never had one problem getting warranty exchange on the 5 items in 13 years. Why would I give 10 years labor warranty on products that, according to many of you is junk? I would be out of business in no time.

I back all my work with 10 years labor and register all the products I install for the customer and send them the registration certificate. As for any of you paying for labor when you feel it should be warranty related, find different a contractor. I've seen it too many times to count where companies assume leak is coil related. Installed should have checked and replaced the Schroeder valves on the outdoor unit for approximately $5 and chances are you would have stopped losing refrigerant. To the person with 5 failed coils, it's impossible to have 4 coils fail on the same unit like that. If you’re interested in finding out the age of Goodman AC or year of manufacture, then you can follow this guide. Replaced for the customer at no charge and 5 years later, it's still kickin. The compressor failure was just that one in 5,000 lemon that failed from the factory in 2 days. (2) blower motors, (1) inducer motor, (1) compressor and (1) coil. Hundreds of installs of Goodman equipment and 13 years later, I have filed warranty 5 times. Over the 13 year period I have installed nothing but Goodman brand equipment. I am an HVAC contractor and have been in business for 13 years.
